The surfaces available for your logo depend on which of our two logo types you choose.
Sandblasted logos can be applied to stone, mirror, or glass. This method etches the design into the surface and then fills it with acrylic for color, making it the more versatile option across our range of materials. It's worth understanding how the engraving works: the etching is intentionally not very deep. Its purpose is simply to roughen up the surface so the acrylic colorant can adhere properly. If the engraving were too deep, it would interfere with how the water flows across the surface and could cause splashing. So the sandblasting is really there just to prepare the surface to receive the colorant—not to carve a deep recess into the material.
Vinyl logos can be applied only to clear or colored glass. Since a vinyl logo is essentially a high-quality sticker, it requires the smooth, non-porous finish that glass provides, which is why it isn't suited to stone or mirror. On our glass water features, water flows down just one side of the glass, so vinyl logos are applied to the rear side, where water never touches them. The design is applied in a reversed layout on the back of the glass so it reads correctly when viewed from the front, and because it's protected from the water on that back surface, it stays looking clean and intact over time.
