Technically, the plastic liner in the Tranquil River (Flush Mounted Towards Rear Of The Base) is removable; however, it is not intended to be removed, and doing so will void your warranty. We use a formed high-density polyethylene (HDPE) liner in our water fountain trays, which offers reliable, long-lasting protection for holding water. HDPE is completely waterproof and non-porous, effectively preventing leaks and resisting cracking, chemicals, and mineral buildup.
