What a great memory to have of your water feature! It sounds like the one you had may have been made by one of the companies that built wall-mounted features with water surfaces made of polished pebbles or chipped pieces of stone set into a backing, with water trickling down over them. They were beautiful. Unfortunately, we don't make that style, and as far as we know, no one still does.
That style ran into two main problems over time:
- Stones coming loose: The epoxies and resins available for attaching the pebbles or stone pieces tended to break down under constant water exposure, so the stones would eventually delaminate.
- Splashing: Water running over round pebbles or jagged stone splashes quite a bit. To catch it, those features needed a very large basin that stuck far out from the wall, which wasn't very attractive.
